The Cradle from Hell Arc is the 51st story arc of the Ranma ½ manga, spanning three chapter. It was included as part of Volume 21 of the Weekly Shōnen Sunday tankōbon and volume 19 of the Viz Media tankōbon.
Plot Summary
While out training in a blizzard Ranma beats up Genma and takes the last cup of ramen. Genma realizes that due to his lazy attitude and lack of training, Ranma has become a much more powerful martial artist than his own father. He goes off to train, mentioning to Ranma that they are no longer father and son[1]. Ranma and Genma now split, training separately for the upcoming match[2]. When the match day comes, Genma has a new technique up his sleeve, the Cradle from Hell. The attack creeps out Ranma to the point of giving up the fight, making Genma the winner[3].
