Don't Make Me Wild Like You (じゃじゃ馬にさせないで, Jajauma ni Sasenaide?), also known as Don't Make Me a Shrew, is the first opening theme of Ranma ½, performed by Etsuko Nishio. It is used from episodes 1 to 18 (episodes 1-13 and 17-21 in the Blu-Ray version).
An alternative version performed by Shampoo's seiyū, Rei Sakuma, released in the Fighting Songs Karuta album. An instrumental version, with a more Chinese-like sound, also appears in the video game Ranma ½: Byakuran Aika.

"Iishanten" (or "ii shan ten") is the state of a hand in mahjong where only one tile is needed to achieve tenpai, which is a hand that only needs one more tile to complete. "Ryanshanten" (or "ryan shan ten") is the state of a hand where two tiles are needed to achieve tenpai. This means that the hands of "iishanten" and "ryanshanten" are 2 and 3 tiles away from winning, respectively.
"Fin de siècle" means "end of the century" in French.
"Maerchen" means "fairy tale" in German.
