Here's Ranma (らんまが来た, Ranma Ga Kita?) is the 1st episode of the 2024 Ranma ½ anime. It premiered on October 6, 2024.
Summary[]
Soun Tendo anxiously awaits the return of his friend’s son, Ranma Saotome, who is betrothed to his daughter, Akane Tendo, from China. On the day they were to meet, a cute girl with pigtails and a giant panda appeared instead!? It turns out that during their training, the Saotome family had fallen into the legendary training grounds of the cursed springs known as “Jusenkyo.” When splashed with water, Ranma transforms into a girl and his father, Genma, turns into a panda!

- The Japanese title of the episode is identical to the Japanese title of Chapter 1.
- The English title of the episode is identical to the first English titles for Episode 1 of the original 1989 anime series and Chapter 1.
- In the English dub, the deliveryman who gives Soun the postcard is voiced by David Kaye, the original English voice of Soun.
- Following the premiere of the following episode (I Hate Men!), the first half of this episode was released for free on SHOPRO's YouTube channel on October 13, 2024.[1] However, the video seems to be region locked to Japan.
Differences from the Manga[]
- In the first page of the manga, Soun was in tears when he got the letter from Genma that he was coming to Japan with Ranma, while in the anime, Soun was seen sweeping before a deliveryman came and dropped the letter to him.
