Kodachi, The Black Rose (黒バラの小太刀, Kuro Bara No Kodachi?) is the 6th episode of the 2024 Ranma ½ anime. It premiered on November 10, 2024.
Summary[]
The representative from Furinkan High School for the upcoming martial arts rhythmic gymnastics match has been ambushed and injured, forcing Akane to step in as a substitute. One night, Kuno Kodachi, the opponent of the upcoming match, ambushes Akane. After learning that not only was Kodachi behind the ambush, but she also has feelings for Ranma, Akane throws herself into training with renewed vigor. However, she gets injured during practice, and Ranma steps in to take her place in the competition!

- As of this episode, Akane's appearance in the opening credits has been changed to include her short-haired design, barring recreations of scenes from earlier episodes when it was still long.
- In the English dub:
- St. Hebereke's School for Girls is referred to as St. Bacchus's School for Girls despite being referred to as the former in the English dub of 1989 anime.
- Kodachi refers to Ranma as 'Lord Ranma' instead of 'Ranma Darling' as she did in the 1989 anime.
Differences from the Manga[]
- In the manga version, When Akane is training to use Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics, she is seen wearing her karate GI while in the anime version, she is wearing a leotard.
