: Thank you for that information. I was always uncomfortable with that page in particular because information about those two are so scant. But rather than making an entirely new page, I'll rename the old page to the new one. If anyone else has corroborating information about the exact names I would appreciate it.

Akane has two additional friends besides Sayuri and Yuka: Makoto and Shikako. 130.64.160.231 02:50, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Friends

Where are these other two friends, Makoto and Shikako, mentioned? In the manga, Sayuri and Yuka aren't even named. Their names are from the anime.

I can't recall if they're ever mentioned by name (chances are the names are fan-made similar to the names of Kikuko and Ryonami for Nabiki's friends), but the pair appear multiple times in the anime. For example here (1:05 - 2:11, Makoto being the one with long frizzy looking hair and Shikako being the short-haired one). --Trivi-AM (talk) 17:10, December 7, 2012 (UTC)
If they aren't given names in the canon then they shouldn't be referred to by name here. The should simply be listed as the unnamed friends of Akane's.
At least that is my thoughts on it. —This unsigned comment was made by Mknopp (talkcontribs) on 17:28, December 7, 2012 (UTC).
They appear on the minor characters page of this wiki. I assume that their names are only mentioned in the credits. 130.64.160.156 05:27, December 11, 2012 (UTC)
This page and DJClyve on YouTube (the guy who does those character profiles) call them Asami and Hiroko, but Wikipedia and the several local articles (including List of Minor Characters and The Case of the Furinkan Stalker!) call them Makoto and Shikako. 108.49.30.17 01:51, June 28, 2013 (UTC)

This confusion has gone on for long enough. I have corrected the names. I've no idea where the names Makoto and Shikako came from, they were not mentioned in the English anime dub. But to my knowledge the names Asami and Hiroko were used in the European dub. I could not find those European dubs, but I found they were used on myanimelist.net.

I also found them used on a fan site that has not been updated since 2009.
